So all of a sudden you realise Google is indexing your site as two different websites. The www.mysite.com version and the mysite.com version. This is something you definatley need to change and here we are going to show you how.
In order to fix this problem you need to do what is called a 301 redirect from your mysite.com to www.mysite.com or visa versa depending on which version is ranking better. By making this change you will be merging the two together so Google see’s your site as one page. BE ADVISED IF YOU ARE UNCOFORTABLE WITH MAKING THIS CHANGE PLEASE HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DO IT FOR YOU.

If you have access to your .htaccess file you will need to add the following code to it. ( of course changing mysite to your own website) DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE.

RewriteCond %{http_host} ^mysite.com [NC]

RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mysite.com.com/$1 [R=301,L]

By changing the above code you are now telling Google to only index one version of your site with a 301 redirect.
